Design Guidelines for the Development and Implementation of the "Moscow Biblio-Centres" Project

These guidelines offer comprehensive recommendations for the layout, equipment, and interior design of libraries in Moscow. They are based on an analysis of 402 library spaces, which includes floor plans and technical documents, photographic records from visits to various libraries, as well as a study of leading international libraries and the best practices for organising and decorating modern public spaces.
This document was jointly developed with the Central City Library named after N.A. Nekrasov and the Moscow Institute for Social and Cultural Programmes (MISCP). As a result, it takes into consideration both current architectural standards and quality benchmarks, as well as the unique requirements of library operations.
