*Endoplasmic reticulum (Latin: reticulum - network) - a membranous structure, a branched system of interconnected cavities. Penetrating the cytoplasm, the reticulum connects the cell's nucleus to its surface and facilitates the internal transport of substances.
The cell is the basis of the structure of living organisms. Representing a complex system of regularities, it serves as an integral part of more global life cycles. Similar to a cell synthesizing various compounds, a person lives, accumulates experience and knowledge, explores oneself and the environment through thinking and imagination. Comparable processes to those occurring in a cell take place in the endoplasmic reticulum.
