The spa hotel complex consists of a main building and bungalow-style cottages for intimate accommodation, along with public baths nearby equipped with changing rooms and toilets. These facilities are scattered across clearings concealed from one another by vegetation.
Within the main building, you will find the administration, lobby, restaurant, and spa on the ground floor, while standard rooms, family rooms, and suites occupy the second and third levels. The ground floor of the building is both visually and physically permeable, allowing for uninterrupted pedestrian movement throughout the spa complex landscape. The public spa features both indoor and outdoor baths. The outdoor bath encircles the hotel building, providing two distinct settings: one for morning use on the east side of the building and another for evening use on the west side. During the transition between baths, you can conveniently traverse from one side to the other directly along the street.
The arrangement of guest rooms and the configuration of windows in the main building reinterpret an important archaic tradition of the indigenous people of the Kuril Islands. In residential spaces, opposite the entrance and depending on the location of the surrounding mountains and river sources, there was always a "sacred" puyar window. According to Ainu beliefs, this window maintained a connection between the spirits, the hosts of the dwelling, and the deities of the external world. Approaching or peering into the window was forbidden, and it was only closed during inclement weather. Consequently, the rooms in the main building are oriented in two directions, with shutters at the windows to close them during bad weather and ensure privacy.
Guests staying in standard and family rooms can enjoy the spa on the ground floor and the baths scattered across the property. Residents of deluxe rooms can make use of their personal baths on the open balconies, which offer views of the Mendeleev, Golovnin, and Tyatya volcanoes.
The cottages come in two types: for couples and for couples with a child (or for a group of two couples). In both cases, the cottages are equipped with private terraces featuring secluded baths that face away from the paths and other structures, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the natural surroundings. Additionally, the cottages include a bathroom, a compact kitchenette, and a small living area. This way, guests staying in the cottages can enjoy an autonomous stay in a natural setting without interacting with other lodgers.
